Technique, strength, coordination, and progression are now the main focus of training. Students are developing an awareness of muscle memory as they string together more complex phrases.

ballet 2
AGES 10-13
2 years of ballet or teacher recommendation required. At this level students should be able to easily identify steps using correct ballet terminology and connect movements into longer phrases while developing more maturity in their performance quality. Students should enroll in multiple days of ballet class if they wish to take the pre-pointe class. ​

ballet 3
AGES 11-18
3 years of ballet or teacher recommendation required. Dancers should enroll in multiple days of ballet class. Students at level 4 and 5 may be given slight modifications that distinguish one level from the other. Ballet students at this level now have the strength to perform certain skills without fear; they are prepared to begin working towards getting pointe shoes if that is a goal they would like to attain. They demonstrate technical development, increased core strength, upper body carriage/presentation and flexibility.​

jazz 2
AGES 8-10
Jazz 1 or 1 year of ballet required.
Identifiable by its syncopated rhythms and isolated moving body parts, Jazz dance reflects American historical events, cultural changes, ethnic influences and the evolution of music and social dances. Class focus will be on conditioning using safe practices, classical jazz technique and choreography, and jazz dance history.

AGES 10-13
2 years of Jazz required, or 2 years of Ballet and teacher recommendation.

jazz 4
AGES 11-18
Must be able to execute all previous Jazz skills, and have at least 2 years of ballet experience or teacher recommendation.
This class emphasizes strength, musicality, isolation, precision, and variety of movement quality. Dancers at this level are confident in their movement vocabulary and able to easily learn and retain complex movement phrases.

HIP HOP 3
AGES 11-18
2 years of Hip Hop or teacher recommendation required.
Hip Hop Dance is a style of movement characterized by bounces and rocks, executed to Hip Hop music. It has deep historical and social roots in African American culture. While frequently referred to as a singular dance style, Hip Hop dance is part of a whole culture of Hip Hop, that includes Deejaying, Graffiti, Emceeing, Breaking, and more.

pre-pointe
AGES 11 +
Students who are serious about ballet may choose to enroll in this class to improve their strength training in preparation to dance en pointe. Dancers must be enrolled concurrently in 2 ballet classes level 3 or higher. Students are not guaranteed to progress to pointe work during or immediately after enrollment in this class. Safety is always our first priority.​​
